We had a rasta-roko to protest against the way the traffic has been, for months now, diverted through the calm, quiet, and narrow streets of J P Nagar while the powers that be sleep over the flyover work…..much promises, but I think, nothing will be done even now.

Greenpeace’s ship the Rainbow Warrior II has been fined $7000 after it ran aground near a coral reef and caused a lot of damage…it was there to monitor ecological damage to the area.

Happiness is getting great news about friends’ talents getting the recognition they deserve. Will post more about this when the news is official. Feeling very happy indeed.

we were stuck on a service road in Chennai while a Corporation lorry was sucking out the muck from a manhole…I was irritated until I saw, coming out of the manhole, a sanitary worker covered from head to foot in muck….he physically threw out a lot of the crap before the suction pipe in the lorry got to work.

Felt wonderful when I saw the pictures of and 's Deepavali party....all the cooking for 20 people, all the decorations, and all the cleaning up...
