We saw this beautiful tusker (probably about 35 years old)…on the banks of the backwaters of the Kabini, as we took our evening boat ride yesterday…

and I wanted to document the amazing agility and delicacy of the way the trunk works….

What a wonderful thing that trunk is…the soft moving curves contrast so well with the hard, immobile curves of the tusks.
