Some more birds....

April 20, 2010

I’m a pioneer at one form of birdwatching…I’m probaly the firste SPB, or Stroller-Pushing Birder, in the world!

I don’t know anyone else who can photograph birds while pushing a stroller with an active, demanding infant in it! Ha, this is my forte….

Today, while pushing KTB to Forest Park, I got this female

DOWNY WOODPECKER

Indeed, I stopped the stroller and took this video:

In Creve Coeur Lake last weekend, I photographed this SONG SPARROW feeding off the dandelion flowers: creve coeur lake song sparrow eating dandelions 170410 At another place, another one singing: song sparrow fp 110410 this BROWN-HEADED COWBIRD was sitting on the lake shore... brown-headed cowbird ccl 170410 And I got in a quick shot of this un-id raptor overhead: un id raptor 170410 Another un-id bird in the branches: un id bird fp 110410 The RED-WINGED BLACKBIRD was singing: red-winged blackbird 110410 one COMMON GRACKLE was having breakfast.... grackle with food fp 110410
